1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Piccollo website (piccollo.co.uk) and the ordering of food and drinks from our takeaway. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Piccollo operates from 68 Townhead, Kirkintilloch, Glasgow G66 1NZ, United Kingdom.
2. Ordering
- Orders may be placed via our website (powered by GloriaFood) or by telephone at +44 141 776 3232.
- All orders are subject to availability and acceptance by us.
- By submitting an order you confirm that all details provided are accurate.
- An order is only accepted once we confirm it. We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion.
- Minimum order values may apply for delivery orders. Any applicable minimum will be displayed at checkout.
3. Prices & Payment
- All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.
- We reserve the right to amend prices at any time. The price charged will be the price at the time you place your order.
- Payment is taken at the time of ordering (online) or upon collection / delivery (cash or card).
- We do not store credit or debit card details. Online payments are handled securely by our third-party payment provider.
4. Delivery
- We aim to deliver within the estimated time shown at checkout, but delivery times are approximate and not guaranteed.
- Delivery is available within our specified delivery zone. If your address falls outside this area, we may be unable to deliver.
- A delivery charge may apply and will be displayed before you confirm your order.
- You must be available at the delivery address to receive the order. If we are unable to deliver because you are not present, we cannot offer a refund.
- Risk of damage or loss passes to you upon delivery.
5. Collection
- If you choose collection, your order will be ready at the estimated time given during checkout.
- Orders not collected within 30 minutes of the stated ready time may be disposed of without refund.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
- You may cancel an order by contacting us immediately by phone. Once food preparation has commenced, cancellations cannot be accepted.
- Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the right to cancel does not apply to the supply of perishable goods, including freshly prepared food.
- If you receive an incorrect or unsatisfactory order, please contact us within 24 hours at +44 141 776 3232 or info@piccollo.co.uk. We will investigate and, where appropriate, offer a replacement or refund.
- Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 14 days using the original payment method.
7. Food Allergens & Dietary Information
Our food may contain or come into contact with common allergens, including but not limited to: gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soybeans, milk, nuts, celery, mustard, sesame, sulphites, lupin and molluscs.
If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please inform us before placing your order. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee that any menu item is completely free from allergens due to the risk of cross-contamination in our kitchen. 8. Limitation of Liability
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from an order shall not exceed the value of that order.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images and design — is the property of Piccollo or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.
10. Third-Party Services
Our online ordering is powered by GloriaFood (Oracle). When you use the ordering system, you may also be subject to GloriaFood's terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party platforms.
11. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, road closures, pandemics, or utility failures.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
